The Octopus Subsea Tooling (OST) Metrology Jig Set (Master & Slave) is a specialized tool for precise subsea measurements and alignment during offshore pipeline installations. Featuring opposing protractors and a taut wire system, it measures deviation and elevation between pipeline flange faces, enabling engineers to calculate spool length and path runs with accuracy — including complex “bar T” spools.
The OST Metrology Jig Set supports operations at any depth accessible to commercial divers (air or saturation diving) and is recommended for flange-to-flange distances longer than 40 metres. With minimal datum offset, it simplifies spool design and enhances operational efficiency, making it the essential tool for precise subsea alignment and measurement.
